Privacy Policy
In plain language: what this site collects, why, and what happens to it.
This policy covers the Rebar Solutions website (rebarsolutions.io). “Rebar,” “we,” and “us” mean Rebar Solutions.
What we collect
Only what you choose to send us through a form on this site:
Contact form — your name, email, phone, company (optional), and your message.
Application forms — your name, email, phone, the links you provide (LinkedIn, GitHub, portfolio), your uploaded resume, and anything you write.
The notes (newsletter) — your email address and the time you signed up. We send one confirmation email; nothing else goes out until you click it. Every note carries an unsubscribe link.
Two automatic emails — when you sign up for the notes we send the confirmation above, and when you send us a message we send a short acknowledgement. Neither contains anything you typed. We send at most one of each per address per day.
Analytics — we measure how the site is used so we can make it better. Vercel Web Analytics gives us cookieless, aggregate traffic stats (page views, rough location, device type). PostHog gives us product analytics — which pages and buttons people use, and how far they get in a form — plus session recordings of how the site is navigated. For that, PostHog sets one first-party cookie on this site, so that a visit can be told from the next one. Nothing is shared with advertisers and no third-party cookies are set. We don't show a cookie banner; if you'd rather not be counted, use the opt-out under Your choices, or your browser's Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track, both of which we honor.
Two things we want to be clear about: in session recordings, everything you type is masked — we never see the contents of any field (your message, your resume, your details). And we don't track you across other websites. You can opt out of analytics any time — see Your choices below.
How we use it
Form submissions are used only to respond to your inquiry or review your application. That's it — no advertising, no profiling.
Where it goes
The site runs on Vercel (hosting). Form submissions are recorded in Google Sheets, and uploaded resumes are stored in Google Drive. The notes and the two automatic emails are sent through Resend, which also keeps the subscriber list. Form submissions are rate-limited per connection through Upstash, which sees a connection address and a count, nothing else. Analytics data goes to Vercel and PostHog. Our forms check that a person's browser sent them, not a script; that check is run by Vercel, which sees only what it needs to tell the two apart. These providers process the data on our behalf so the site can function. We don't share your information with anyone else.
What we don't do
We do not sell your information, rent it, or use it for advertising.
How long we keep it
We keep submissions as long as needed for the inquiry or application they relate to. Newsletter sign-ups that are never confirmed are deleted. You can ask us to delete yours, or unsubscribe, at any time.
Your choices
Email jrosen@rebarsolutions.io to ask what we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted.
To opt out of analytics, enable your browser's “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control setting, or use a tracker-blocking extension — we honor those signals.
